Calgary’s Vote-Day Freebies Are Back This Monday — Here’s Where to Go After You Vote

Calgary’s 2025 General Election takes place Monday, October 20, and local favourites are once again rewarding good civic behaviour with free treats. Whether you’re an ice cream lover or more of a craft beer fan, here’s where to celebrate doing your democratic duty.

Made by Marcus – Free Kids Scoop

After you vote, stop by any Made by Marcus scoop shop and show proof that you participated in the election. A selfie outside your polling station or an “I Voted” sticker will do. You’ll get a free kids scoop in a cone or cup.

✨ Election workers can redeem this offer on Tuesday, October 21.

If you voted early, you can still get your free scoop on Monday. Just show your selfie from advance voting or your “I Voted” sticker when you visit.

Bottlescrew Bill’s – Free BSB Gold Beer or Soda

Head to Bottlescrew Bill’s downtown after voting and show your “I Voted” sticker or selfie outside a polling station and the GM will buy you a 12 oz BSB Gold. If beer isn’t your thing, they’ll happily swap it for a soda, coffee, or tea.

✅ Quick Voting Tips

  • Do not take photos of your actual ballot. Selfies outside polling places are fine.

  • Find your voting location and ID requirements at electionscalgary.ca.

  • Polls are open 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The Bottom Line

Vote, snap a selfie, then grab your treat. Whether it’s a scoop from Made by Marcus or Village Ice Cream, or a beer at Bottlescrew Bill’s, Calgary is rewarding those who show up and make their voices heard.
