Aurora Italiana Brings Tableside Tiramisu and Classic Italian Date Night Energy to Bridgeland

A new Italian restaurant has quietly opened in Bridgeland, and it leans into the kind of old school dinner experience Calgary doesn’t see enough of.

Aurora Italiana has taken over the former La Dolce Vita space on 1 Ave NE, keeping the charm of the original room while refreshing the menu with handmade pastas, rich comfort dishes, and a few tableside moments that make dinner feel like an occasion.

The vibe is classic and unfussy. Low lighting, proper cocktails, and plates designed for lingering.

Expect starters like fresh burrata with tomatoes and olive oil, hearty mains like wine braised bison osso buco with vegetables and truffle mashed potatoes, and lobster stuffed ravioli finished in a creamy sauce with butter poached lobster.

Then there’s the signature move.

Tiramisu prepared tableside. Built and plated right in front of you.

It’s a small touch, but it turns dessert into a little bit of theatre, and makes the whole meal feel more celebratory than everyday.

If you’re planning a date night, a birthday dinner, or just want something that feels a step up from your usual neighbourhood spot, this is one to bookmark.
