If haunted houses aren’t cutting it anymore, this one’s for you. This Halloween, Canmore Cave Tours is turning a real Alberta cave into the ultimate horror movie setting.
They’re hosting The Descent: Halloween Horrors in the Cave, a movie night that takes you nearly 10 stories underground for a viewing of The Descent, the cult horror classic that’s been called one of the scariest films of the 2000s.
The movie follows six women who go exploring in an uncharted cave system and quickly realize they’re not alone. Between the narrow tunnels, eerie sounds, and terrifying creatures, it’s already nightmare fuel. Now imagine watching it surrounded by real dripping rock and total darkness.
Your night starts at the Canmore Cave Tours Office where you’ll grab your gear, get briefed, and head out on a 30 to 40 minute hike to Rat’s Nest Cave. Once you’re inside, you’ll watch the movie surrounded by the kind of atmosphere that makes every sound feel way too close.
