Calgary’s getting its first taste of one of the internet’s most viral desserts. Super Crunch Tanghulu, an Ottawa-based fresh fruit dessert brand, is opening soon at CF Market Mall.
If you haven’t seen tanghulu all over your feed yet, here’s the deal: it’s fresh fruit skewered on a stick and coated in a light sugar glaze that hardens into a satisfying glass-like crunch. Sweet, juicy, and genuinely fun to eat.
You may have already crossed paths with them. Super Crunch was one of the standout hits at Calgary Stampede 2025, racking up serious buzz from local foodies and going viral on TikTok in the process. The permanent location at Market Mall means you won’t have to wait until July to get your fix.
The brand launched in 2023 and has grown fast, with five locations across Ontario and over 80 pop-ups a year across Canada and the US. Their menu centres on tanghulu and chocolate strawberry cups, all made fresh daily with premium fruit. They’ve picked up a “Best Food Award” at London Ribfest.
Super Crunch joins a wave of new spots landing at Market Mall lately, alongside recent openings like Kiokii and… and Monza. The mall is having a moment.
