Free pancakes are back for National Pancake Day and it supports a Calgary charity

A yearly food freebie is returning. IHOP locations across Alberta are marking National Pancake Day on March 3 with a free short stack for dine-in guests.

The event doubles as a fundraiser. Calgary locations are partnering with the Calgary Food Bank, with donations encouraged alongside the free pancakes. Guests who donate may also receive a small gift card incentive while supplies last.

It’s one of those low-effort city promos people plan around, especially for families, students and anyone looking for a casual weekday treat that gives back locally.
