Calgary’s oldest restaurant, running since the 1950s out of Kensington. The menu has evolved well beyond its Milk Bar roots. This is a proper brunch spot now, with food that earns the nostalgia rather than coasting on it.
Order: Breakfast Poutine with poached eggs and hollandaise, Breakfast Burrito with chipotle sour cream, or the Va Va Vanilla Milkshake (try the adult “Launch” version with vodka and espresso if you’re feeling it).

Ten Foot Henry

A Few Practical Notes
Most of these spots fill up fast on weekends, especially between 10am and noon. Book ahead or go early (before 9:30am) or late (after 1pm) to avoid the wait. Many are in walkable neighbourhoods: Bridgeland, Kensington, the Beltline, and Inglewood all have multiple spots worth combining into a morning out.
