Summer isn’t over yet, Calgary. River Hall is back and it’s serving up five weekends of live music, good eats, and those end-of-summer vibes. Oh, and it’s free.
From August 29 to September 28, Lot 6 at 311 8 Street SW turns into the city’s downtown playground. Think music in the air, local food and drinks, and that electric energy that makes you want to stay all night.
What to Expect
-
Sip craft beer from Annex Ale and Eighty-Eight Brewing Co.
-
Grab fried chicken from Cluck N Cleaver
-
Cool down with ice cream from Made by Marcus paired with a shot of Monogram Coffee
-
Shop fresh local produce from Shirley’s Greenhouses during the Sunday farm stand, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Plenty of seating, shady spots to chill, and a pet-friendly vibe make it perfect for families, friends, and pups.
The Energy
“It’s wonderful to see downtown spaces filled with energy and connection,” says Evelyn Mytka from the Eau Claire Community Association. “Yoga in the morning, ice cream in the afternoon, dancing in the evening. There’s something for everyone.”
She’s right. Whether you’re a yoga mat regular, a weekend foodie, or just there for the music, this is where you’ll want to be.
Kickoff Weekend
It all starts Friday, August 29, with DJ Hannah spinning a night of world disco that will keep you dancing.
Fridays and Saturdays run from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sundays go from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
