Free pancakes, country tunes, and a Guinness World Record attempt? Say less.
Calgary’s most iconic Stampede breakfast is back and this year, CF Chinook Centre isn’t just flipping flapjacks. They’re going big. As in, break-the-GUINNESS-WORLD-RECORDS™ big. Mark your calendar for Saturday, July 5, because Chinook is celebrating 65 years of breakfast bliss with a shot at the “Most Pancakes Served” world title.
They’re expecting 25,000+ hungry guests, and you’re invited to grab a stack for free — with all the fixings, live music, line dancing, and a full-blown Stampede market experience in the mix.
Here’s what’s going down:
-
Where: East parking lot between Chapters & Yeti, CF Chinook Centre
-
When: Saturday, July 5 | 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM
-
Live Performances: Madeline Merlo, Tony Stevens, Nolan Compton & Haley Isabel
-
Line dancing, kid-friendly fun, and a whole lotta syrup
Oh, and if you’re the type who likes a little friendly chaos before the big event, swing by on Friday, July 4 for the Pancake Stacking Contest. Local celebs will be battling it out to stack 65 pancakes… with a twist. Think oven mitts, one-hand-only rounds, and a “Wheel of Disadvantage.” The winner gets $2,000 donated to a charity of their choice.
While You’re There…
Check out CF Chinook’s 2025 Stampede Lookbook, where you’ll find everything from Cowgirl Chic to Lil’ Wrangler vibes. Whether you’re going for rhinestone rodeo queen or chill western casual, their curated style guide has you covered. Bonus? From July 4–14, you’ll score a CF SHOP! card bonus with qualifying purchases.
