After years of anticipation from Calgary craft beer fans, Edmonton’s Sea Change Brewing Co. has officially opened its first Calgary location, and it’s worth the wait.
Called Skelly Club, the new brewery and taproom has taken over 820 11 Ave. S.W., bringing Sea Change’s award-winning beers to the city alongside cocktails from its sister company, Shiddy’s Distilling, and burgers from Edmonton favourite FlatBoy Burgers.
It’s the brewery’s first expansion outside the Edmonton region since launching in 2017. Founded by musicians, artists, and longtime craft beer enthusiasts, Sea Change has built a loyal following across Alberta with approachable, style-driven beers and creative branding. Now we get to claim a piece of it.
More Than a Taproom
Skelly Club isn’t just a spot to grab a pint. The space combines a working brewery, cocktail bar, and full kitchen under one roof, with FlatBoy Burgers serving its signature smash burgers right alongside the beer lineup.
What’s Pouring
On tap, expect many of Sea Change’s best-known beers: Prairie Fairy Blackberry Wheat Ale, Man Crush Mandarin Orange Ale, and Death Wave Lager, plus seasonal releases and non-alcoholic options. Cocktails featuring spirits from Shiddy’s Distilling round out the bar menu.
