Petalo
A new Italian-inspired spot has landed on Edmonton Trail, and it’s built entirely around one idea: food should bring people together. Petalo means “petal” in Italian, and the space matches the name, vintage charm with modern touches, a seasonal shareable menu, and a wine and cocktail list that leans into the intimate factor (try the Strawberry Negroni or the Caramel Corn Old Fashioned). Think crudo, cacio e pepe, wood-fired pies, and a lobster tail profiterole for dessert.

Revelwoods Tavern & Terrace
The Bow River block behind Fortuna’s Row just got a new neighbour. Revelwoods is doing Southern comfort with a French accent, everything cooked over pecan, hickory and oak, with Western beef and fresh coastal fish anchoring the menu. The house cocktail list leans Southern too, think Whisky Peach Smash. Open daily 4 to 11 PM.

The Good Bar
East Village’s new coffee spot is built for your post-Stampede recovery arc. Rosso coffee is the base, but the twist is the add-ins: protein, creatine or collagen stirred into your latte, plus a fridge stocked with protein-packed meals from Dedicate Healthy Kitchen. Open daily 7 AM to 5 PM.

Briggs
A new spot quietly opened in the deep southeast, and almost nobody’s caught it yet. Briggs is doing creative global comfort food (smash-style burgers, composed salads, a proper cocktail list) in Longview Common, and the patio just opened in time for the good weather. For everyone in the new SE communities tired of driving downtown for a good dinner, this one’s yours.
