A family dance party that has gone viral around the world is coming to Calgary this summer.
Lenny Pearce’s Toddler Rave World Tour will stop in Calgary on June 17 at MacEwan Hall, bringing the DJ’s high energy family friendly show to the city as part of his first Canada tour.
Pearce is the creator behind “Toddler Techno” and “Baby Raves,” a concept that has built a massive online following by remixing children’s songs and nursery rhymes into upbeat electronic dance tracks designed for both kids and parents. His videos and performances turn familiar children’s music into club style sets where families can dance together.
Originally from Australia, Pearce has performed sold out shows across Australia, New Zealand, Asia and the Middle East. His international tour continues to expand as the concept grows in popularity, with upcoming stops across Canada, the United States and Europe.
The Calgary show is part of the first leg of the Canada tour, which also includes Winnipeg, Edmonton and Vancouver. Additional dates in Ottawa, Montreal and Toronto are expected to be announced later.
The live show blends a DJ performance with a kid friendly dance party atmosphere. Parents can expect colourful visuals, energetic music and a crowd of families dancing together as Pearce spins remixed children’s favourites alongside modern electronic tracks.
