Forget haunted houses. This Halloween, Calgary’s most haunted bank is where the real chaos begins. The historic Bank & Baron on Stephen Ave is transforming into a full-blown masquerade for The Halloween Bank Heist, and it’s serving mystery, music, and mayhem all night long.
Inside the Heist
From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere hits different. Candlelight flickers across marble columns, champagne glasses clink, and a DJ spins deep house in the background while guests in velvet masks find their tables.
Your ticket includes dinner, a welcome drink, and a lineup that feels straight out of a movie. Table-side magicians pull off impossible tricks right in front of you, cirque-style performers move through the crowd, and tarot readers reveal what the night has in store. Then there’s the vault photobooth tucked inside the original bank vault, perfect for your most dramatic Halloween shot.
When the clock hits ten, dinner gives way to dancing as the DJ drops dark disco and throwback beats. The lights fall lower, the crowd loosens up, and suddenly you’re part of a story that could only happen in Calgary.
The Look
The dress code is masquerade with a twist. Think satin, lace, sequins, velvet, or suits with swagger. Masks are encouraged, but what you hide behind them is up to you. This is the kind of event where people go all out — elegant, moody, and a little bit dangerous.

The Setting
The venue itself does half the storytelling. Once a working bank in the early 1900s, the space still carries its history with marble walls, towering ceilings, and that original vault that’s hosted more than a few ghost stories. It’s said to be one of Calgary’s most haunted landmarks, and for one night, you get to step inside and write your own.
