Wire Jewelry: Arm Cuff Making Workshop

Join us for an afternoon of making Arm Cuffs with Solunas!

This workshop provides the opportunity to learn how to craft customized arm cuffs that elevate personal expression. Using different gauges of wires, tools, and beads, we will demonstrate the step-by-step process on how to create an arm cuff that matches its wearer’s vibe. By the end of the workshop, the attendees will achieve a tarnish free and water resistant piece that is organically made by their own hands.

Workshops are recommended for people ages 12 and over. Children under 12 years old are welcome with parent/guardian supervision. Please get a ticket for each person (incl. all children).

The workshop is admission by donation! Suggested $20 – $30 to support facilitator fees and supplies.

This program is graciously funded by the City of Calgary, (https://www.calgary.ca/arts-culture.html) Calgary Arts Development (https://calgaryartsdevelopment.com/), and Calgary Foundation (https://calgaryfoundation.org/).

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR:

We’re Emily and Danya; the sun and the moon. Two sisters who love jewelry that is unique, unconventional, and expressive in all ways. Solunas first began we saw a lack of the type of jewelry that we liked. The only places they seemed to exist in, were usually the fast fashion brands that are sourced unethically or they weren’t size inclusive at all. We didn’t like that, so we decided to take matters into our own hands—literally—and created adjustable wire wrapped jewelry made from strong, tarnish free wires. We use natural gemstones and hypoallergenic metals in all of our jewelry to ensure our customers receive the highest quality pieces. With every piece we make, it comes from a place of love, passion, soul and authenticity.
