Join us for a fun in-person day of socializing and speedy puzzle-solving to support the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation.
Social and Speed Puzzling Fundraiser
While puzzling is often thought of as a quiet, solo activity, something truly special happens when puzzlers come together. Our community is passionate, welcoming, and incredibly supportive, and this fundraising event is an opportunity for us to put that community spirit toward something meaningful.
Join us for a full day of pairs speed puzzling, teams speed puzzling and casual social puzzling. We will have an online silent auction, with all money raised donated to the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation (ACHF).
Are you a solo puzzler without a partner or team? We will match you with other solo puzzlers. Do you already have a partner or team? Great, make sure to note their names on the form below.
Pairs Competition
Two puzzlers will work together on a 500 piece puzzle. All pairs will receive one copy of the same 500 piece puzzle. You will have 2 hours to complete the puzzle.
Teams Competition
A team of four puzzlers will work together to complete a 1000 piece puzzle. All teams will receive one copy of the same 1000 piece puzzle. You will have 2.5 hours to complete the puzzle.
Prizes
Prizes will be awarded to the top experienced puzzlers and top beginner puzzlers for each competition.
Beginner puzzlers: those who self identify as being able to complete a 500 piece puzzle in 90 minutes or more
Experienced puzzlers: those who self identify as being able to complete a 500 piece puzzle in under 90 minutes
Casual Social Puzzling
Decompress after the speed competitions with casual social puzzling. Grab a puzzle, find a table, and dig in. You’re welcome (and encouraged) to join a table with people other than your teammates to meet new puzzlers and make more connections. There will be 2.5 hours for social puzzling.

Sandwich trays will be provided. Sorry, we cannot accommodate dietary requests.
Important Information
The event ticket includes all activities for the full day
Tickets are sold per person
All proceeds go to ACHF (50% of the paid ticket price)
Tables are pre-assigned. You do not need to arrive early to find a table
Please note that we will be photographing and taking videos at the event. The photos and videos will be used on social media and to promote future events

Online Auction
The silent auction will be held online, opening October 2, 2026. The link for the auction will be updated here as well as emailed to all attendees. Items will be at the event to see and for winners to collect if in attendance. The online auction ends at 5:30pm on October 17, 2026.

How are you raising money for the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation?
At least 50% of the ticket cost will be donated to the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation. We will also be hosting an online auction – the link will be emailed to all attendees.
I am a solo puzzler, can I still sign up?
Yes, we will match you with other solo puzzlers.
I already have a partner or team, can I puzzle with them?
Yes, be sure to include their names on the form after you buy your ticket.
