Millarville Christmas Market Returns for Eight Festive Days This November

One of Alberta’s best-known holiday markets is returning for two festive weekends in November.

The Millarville Christmas Market will take place from November 5 to 8 and November 12 to 15, 2026, at the Millarville Racing and Agricultural Society. The annual market brings together local artisans, holiday treats, live entertainment and family-friendly activities just south of Calgary.

Millarville Christmas Market 2026 Dates

The market will run over eight days:

• Thursday, November 5 to Sunday, November 8, 2026
• Thursday, November 12 to Sunday, November 15, 2026

A Holiday Tradition Since 1988

First held in 1988, the Millarville Christmas Market has grown into one of Alberta’s most popular seasonal shopping events.

Visitors can browse products from local makers and small businesses while enjoying festive food, live music and activities throughout the grounds.

The market includes both indoor and outdoor shopping areas. Four heated spaces—the Arena, Hall, Quonset and large event tents—provide plenty of opportunities to warm up between outdoor stops.

Kids Only Shoppe

Families visiting on Saturday or Sunday can stop at the Kids Only Shoppe, located in the Picnic Shelter near the concession.

Created for children ages five to 12, the shop allows kids to choose presents independently with help from volunteer elves. Gifts cost $15 or less, and most are locally made or handcrafted.

Each purchase is wrapped so children can keep their selections a surprise. Proceeds from the shop support hot-lunch programs at six Foothills School Division schools.

What to Wear

Although several shopping areas are heated, portions of the market are outdoors.

Visitors should dress in warm layers and wear practical footwear. Outdoor areas can become wet or muddy depending on November weather.
