Linocut Printing: Wear Your Art (Sunday)
Carve a story into rubber, then wear it out the door.
What if your next T-shirt or tote bag didn’t come from a rack, but from your own two hands?
This 3.5-hour workshop offers a comprehensive introduction to Linocut printing, from first sketch to final press. You’ll design and carve your own original single-color print, working either from a reference image or by drawing directly onto the block. Examples and references will be on hand for inspiration, but you’re welcome to bring your own sketches too.
Guided by artist Bahar Rostami, you’ll hand-burnish or press your design using soft Lino blocks and water-based fabric inks onto a T-shirt or tote bag to take home. Everything you need to print on fabric is provided. No two pieces come out exactly the same, and that’s half the charm of Lino printing.
