Join us and tantalize your taste buds at a selection of restaurants in Calgary to taste different kinds of dumplings and more!
Experience different restaurants and tastes that may include Chinese soup dumplings, Indian kofta, Korean mandu, Mexican empanadas, Nepalese momos, Thai toong tong and more. Our evening tasting extravaganza is on Tuesday November 10 from 5pm until 9pm.
Each restaurant will be serving up Tasting Plates of dumplings for guests to enjoy and you will have a chance to visit a variety of different types of restaurants throughout the food tour event.
Visit each of the participating restaurants at your leisure by car or transit.
Tickets:
Ultra Early-bird Tickets $49 per person through to October 25, 2026
Early-bird Tickets $59 per person after October 25, 2026
Regular $69 per person through November 6, 2026
Note: Eventbrite fee and GST is extra on all tickets.
Ticket price includes tasting plates of dumplings at each of the participating restaurants on this self-guided tour throughout the evening.
Note: ALL Tickets must be purchased in advance online. All ticket sales are final. Participating restaurants subject to change. Event produced by CMI Chat Media Inc. This is an all ages event and everyone is welcome.
Refund Policy: We understand that plans can change, but please note that all ticket sales are final. While we can’t offer refunds, you’re more than welcome to transfer your ticket to another person if you find yourself unable to attend.
FAQs
Is there a particular order we have to follow of restaurants we visit during the event?
All of our tasting tours follow the same format unless noted otherwise. Event participants are pre-assigned the first location to begin their tasting adventure, we then suggest that they visit any of the participating restaurants in the clockwise direction after the first eatery that is assigned.
Can my friends or family be assigned the same starting location as me?
Yes, If you and your friends who have purchased their own tickets want to be assigned the same restaurant to start the tour, please email us at least 7 days in advance of the event date and let us know (include your order number, full name, your email address and note the other attendees.
Is there a time limit at each restaurant?
You can stay as long or as little as you wish within the time frame of the event; of course keep in mind that others will want to visit the restaurants as well and that you will have other restaurants to visit yourself.
Is it crucial that I start the event time begins?
You can start the tour anytime, however we do suggest that you arrive to your assigned location within the first half hour of the event so that you have ample time to visit all or as many of the participating restaurants that you wish during the tasting tour.
Do I have to purchase tickets in advance? Can I pay cash?
Tickets must be purchased in advance of the event online by credit card, debit card or PayPal, however you don’t need to have a PayPal account to make your payment. Paypal is our merchant gateway to process credit card payments.
Can I get a refund or exchange my tickets?
Refund Policy: We understand that plans can change, but please note that all ticket sales are final. While we can’t offer refunds, you’re more than welcome to transfer your ticket to another person if you find yourself unable to attend.
Can the tour accommodate Vegetarians?
Yes and we can provide vegetarian substitutions, please send us a message after purchasing your tickets and note the name (s), order number and request vegetarian.
What if I have dietary restrictions, other than Vegetarian?
Due to the nature of our tasting tours and the participating restaurants, we cannot guarantee substitutions can be made for specific diets. Vegan, gluten, soy, and nut allergies are unable to be accommodated.
Can I get my tasting for takeout?
Our tasting tours are set-up for the food and drink tastings to be experienced at the restaurant; it is up to the individual restaurants and establishments if they wish to allow the tastings for takeout.
Do you offer discounted tickets for children?
We do not offer any discounted tickets for children. If you are bringing a child under the age of 3, and they will not be eating on the tour, you do not need to purchase a ticket for them. If your child is 3 years of age or older, you will need to purchase a ticket for them.
is the event being held and which restaurants are participating?
It is a restaurant tour to a selection of restaurants in the city. We email our ticket holders 5 days in advance of the event with the participating restaurants, map, menu and all the other event details.
Will we be walking?
Only if the description explicitly says so. Please follow the details in our Overview Event Description for all logistics; this info is more accurate than the generic “How to get there” section generated by Eventbrite.
Do you offer last minute tickets?
As we need to provide the participating restaurants with the number of participants in advance to allow them time to prepare the food; ticket sales end approximately 3 days in advance of the respective tour date.
