Calgary Rock N’ Gem Show

Seven Chiefs Sportsplex turns into 50,000 square feet of crystals, minerals and fossils for four days this November. Organizers bill it as the biggest rock and gem show in Canada, with vendors coming in from across the country.

Expect raw specimens next to polished stones, handmade jewellery, beads, carvings and lapidary supplies. Many sellers are collectors, miners and artisans, so it’s worth asking where a piece came from. $3 a person, $7 for a family, kids 5 and under free.
