Awaken Your Senses: A 4-Hour Sensory Retreat
A four-hour sensory retreat exploring presence through the five senses, movement, breath, meditation and sound.
AWAKEN YOUR SENSES
A four-hour retreat built around something we do every day, but rarely give our full attention to: seeing, hearing, tasting, smelling, and feeling.
Think about how often you drink something without really tasting it. Walk into a room without noticing its smell. Hear music while thinking about something completely different. Or move through an entire day while barely noticing what your body has been feeling.
For four hours, we’re going to do the opposite.
Awaken Your Senses is an experience built around slowing things down enough to actually notice them.
Not as something to master or achieve, but as a chance to become curious about what happens when your attention comes back to what is right in front of you.
How the experience will unfold
Exploring the Senses
We’ll begin with the five senses themselves – noticing what happens when we give our full attention to something we see, smell, taste, touch or hear. Nic will guide the group through sensory experiences, reflection and conversation, with space to notice what comes up without needing to turn it into anything.
Tea & Snacks
We’ll pause for tea, light snacks, and time to talk, rest, or simply enjoy what’s in front of us.
Sensing Through the Body
Then we’ll bring that same attention into the body.
Olha will guide a slow, sensory-based movement and breathing practice. Rather than focusing on how a pose looks, we’ll notice what it actually feels like to be in the body – the weight of your feet against the floor, the temperature of the room against your skin, where you hold tension, how your breath moves, and how sensation changes when you move or become still.
You don’t need any yoga experience, and there’s nothing to perform or get right.
Listening Into Stillness
Movement will gradually give way to stillness and a live sound bath.
With your eyes closed and your body at rest, attention shifts toward listening – to the bowls, their vibration, the sounds around you, and the silence in between.
There’s nothing you need to follow. You can simply lie down and experience it.
Closing Circle
We’ll finish together, with a little time to reflect on what you noticed before returning to the rest of your day.

FAQs
Do I need to have yoga experience?
Not at all. The yoga portion will be slow and accessible, and this isn’t a class where you need to keep up or perform. We’ll be much more interested in what you can feel than how a pose looks.
Do I need to bring a yoga mat?
Yes. Please bring your own yoga mat, as mats will not be available at the venue.
What should I bring for the sound bath?
You’ll be lying down for part of the sound bath, so bring whatever will make that comfortable for you. A blanket, small pillow, eye mask, warm socks or an extra layer are all welcome.
These items are optional – your yoga mat is the only thing you definitely need to bring.
What should I wear?
Wear something comfortable that you can move, sit and lie down in. Layers are a good idea, since you may feel cooler once the movement ends and we settle into the sound bath.
Do I have to participate in the sharing circle?
No. You’re welcome to share, but there’s no pressure to speak or share anything you’d prefer to keep to yourself.
Will there be food?
Yes. Tea, light snacks and refreshments will be provided. If you have food allergies or dietary restrictions, please let us know when registering.
What happens during the sound bath?
You’ll get comfortable on your mat while Olha plays crystal singing bowls and other sound instruments. You don’t need to follow anything or know anything beforehand – you can simply rest, listen, and notice the sound and vibration.
What will I receive to take home?
Everyone will leave with a small curated collection inspired by the senses, as well as complimentary experiences from us to use after the retreat. We’re keeping a few of the details as a surprise.
Can I get a refund for my ticket?
Because this is a small retreat with limited space and materials, refreshments, and gifts prepared in advance for each guest, all ticket sales are final and non-refundable.
If you’re unable to attend, you’re welcome to transfer your ticket to another person. Just let us know in advance.
