If you’re looking for a date night idea that feels upscale without blowing your entire weekend budget, Modern Steak just made your August plans easy.
Available every night this month from 4 PM to close, the new Date Night menu at is a $108-for-two experience at both their Downtown and Southport locations — and yes, it includes steaks, sides, and a bottle of wine.
What’s Included in the Date Night Menu?
This limited-time offer features Alberta Prime steaks paired with classic Modern Steak sides and wine — making it a solid pick whether you’re celebrating something special or just avoiding another night of figuring out dinner.
Here’s what’s on the table:

Two steaks: Choose from a 10oz striploin, 6oz filet, or 6oz flat iron. Wagyu upgrades are available if you’re feeling extra.

Two sides: We ordered the parmesan risotto and maple Brussels sprouts — both excellent. Other options include charred cabbage, mashed potatoes, ‘damn good fries’, and even spaghetti bolognese.

One bottle of feature wine: Each couple receives a bottle of wine (included in the price), and the list has some quality picks that pair well with the meal.

Our Take
We previewed the Date Night this week at the Southport location and tried the striploin and filet — both cooked beautifully and full of flavour. The sides were generous, and the wine brought the whole meal together.
The vibe is upscale without being stuffy, making it perfect for everything from casual date nights to special occasions.
