Samhain is an ancient Celtic seasonal festival marking the transition from the harvest season into the darker half of the year. Traditionally celebrated around the end of October and beginning of November, it was considered a liminal time — a threshold between seasons, people gathered around fires, honoured their ancestors, remembered those who had died, and reflected on the cycles of life, death and renewal.

For this special Samhain Soundbath, we will gather in ceremony to honour the people we love who are no longer physically with us.

You do not need to follow Celtic traditions, Paganism, or any particular spiritual path to attend. This ceremony is open and respectful to all beliefs. Whether you think of this as connecting with your ancestors, remembering someone you deeply loved, honouring their spirit, praying for them, or simply holding their memory close, you are welcome.

At the centre of our space will be a beautiful candlelit altar. You are invited to bring something to temporarily place upon it:

A photograph of someone you love

A small talisman or meaningful object

A letter you have written to them

Something representing your ancestry or lineage

Nothing is left behind. The altar is simply a sacred focal point for our ceremony, and everything you bring will go home with you at the end of the evening.

Once we are settled into our soundbath, we will begin calling our loved ones into the circle — speaking their names, remembering them and creating a space filled with intention, remembrance and unconditional love.

You will then lie back and receive.

Through the deep vibrations of Planetary Gongs and Alchemy Crystal Singing Bowls, I will take you on a sound journey designed to support reflection, connection and release.

This evening may be especially meaningful if you are grieving the loss of someone you love, if you feel deeply connected to your ancestors, or if you are simply curious about experiencing Samhain in a gentle and meaningful way.

Grief and love are intimately connected. We grieve because we have loved.

For 90 minutes, we will create a circle there is room for both.

A circle of remembrance.

A circle of sound.

A circle of unconditional love.

What to Bring

Please bring a pillow, water and anything you need to feel comfortable lying down. Mattresses, blankets and eye pillows are provided.

You may also bring a photograph, letter or small meaningful item for our Samhain altar.
