Whether your buddy is playful, shy, or sassy, we’ll help showcase their charm on paper. Don’t miss this chance to create a lasting memory of your adorable companion!
Each session includes a formal demonstration focused on the day’s topic,
supplemented by informal demos as needed. Students will receive group instruction
along with individual help tailored to their projects, ensuring personalized guidance
throughout the series.By completing this series, participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of
coloured pencil techniques specific to pet portraiture, including layering, texture
creation, blending, lifting, and the use of grids for accuracy. They will walk away with the
ability to create realistic, expressive portraits of their own pets.
Sherry Telle has over 40 years of experience creating coloured pencil pet portraits. She
brings her extensive knowledge and passion for realistic pet art to this workshop series,
aiming to empower students to create beautiful animal portraits independently.

grid a drawing and then transfer your chosen image onto the quality drawing paper of your choice

that convey your pet’s personality through their expression.
18:00 – 21:00 Week 3. Nov 12 Colour Blending, Layering, and Burnishing Discover methods for building up colour gradually, blending hues smoothly, and using
burnishing techniques, also how to create realistic fur colours and depth.
18:00 – 21:00 Week 4. Nov 12 Lifting, Backgrounds, and Final Touches Learn how to correct or lighten areas through lifting, incorporate backgrounds that
enhance your portrait, and apply finishing touches for a polished, professional look.

Is this for kids
This workshop is geared for adults .
Will I be able to finish my pet portrait
That depends on you! There will be homework, coloured pencil is a slow process, but it is possible to finish a portrait in this workshop. If not you will have the knowledge to finish on your own.
Is this for beginners
This is a good workshop for beginners and those with intermediate drawing skills. It is tailored to accommodate you at the level you are at.
