Calgary Fringe Festival

The Calgary Fringe Theatre Festival returns for its 20th anniversary from July 31 to August 8, bringing more than a week of independent theatre, comedy, musicals, storytelling, improv, and cabaret performances to venues throughout Inglewood.

Known for its open-access format, the festival gives artists complete creative freedom, making it one of the best places to discover original productions from emerging and established performers. This year’s lineup features dozens of live shows spanning comedy, drama, solo performances, family theatre, physical theatre, and musical productions, with something happening throughout the day and into the evening.

Beyond the stage, visitors can enjoy Kids Fringe programming, free Fringe After Dark events including trivia, karaoke, poetry slams, and The Rocky Horror Picture Show, plus a playwriting workshop and select performances available to stream on demand after opening weekend.
