Strathmore Stampede

One of Alberta’s biggest summer rodeos is back. The Strathmore Stampede returns from July 31 to August 3 with four days of professional rodeo, WPCA chuckwagon racing, live country music, family attractions, and western entertainment just 45 minutes east of Calgary.

The action includes professional rodeo events like bull riding, saddle bronc, barrel racing, steer wrestling, and breakaway roping, alongside the crowd-favourite WPCA chuckwagon races. Visitors can also watch Canada’s original Running with the Bulls, browse the Western Market, enjoy midway food, and explore Heritage Towne with pony rides, a petting zoo, mechanical bull, RC racing, dog demonstrations, games, and other family-friendly activities.

Friday night features a live concert from American Idol winner and country artist Chayce Beckham, while the grounds also host an Emerging Artist Showcase highlighting up-and-coming musicians throughout the weekend.
