Good news for anyone who has ever sprinted to catch the train and wished they had time to grab a snack first. Bridgeland CTrain Station is getting a brand-new INS Market this October, bringing coffee, drinks, and grab-and-go essentials right onto the platform.
INS Market is kind of a big deal across Canada, with more than 130 locations in places like office towers, malls, and transit hubs. Think chips, chocolate, energy drinks, and all the quick fixes you want when you are on the move. For commuters, it means no more boarding the train hangry. For nearby residents, it is basically a corner store at your station.
Why it matters
Transit stations are not usually known for being lively, but Calgary Transit is changing that. The new Bridgeland shop is part of a bigger push to make CTrain stops feel more welcoming and useful. More people, more reasons to stop, and yes, more snacks.
Coming soon
The Bridgeland location is expected to open in mid-October. And it is not the only upgrade — a new café is also set to open at Westbrook Station later this fall, with more retail spaces planned across the city.
So next time you are heading out from Bridgeland, you can top up your coffee, grab a bag of candy, or pick up a last-minute essential without leaving the station.
Keep this one on your radar if Bridgeland is part of your daily route.
